Yuletide Letter 2020
Thanks, first of all, for writing! That is really the most important thing, and I will be delighted with whatever I wind up getting.
Generally speaking, I like stories that tell me a little bit more about the characters or the world they live in. I like stories with plot - with adventure, intrigue, and wacky hijinks/crack. I also like stories that are more focused on character exploration – I don't need action if I have interesting introspection. I like both insider and outsider PoV stuff, and I feel like it is perfectly legit to write a story about a character that isn't from their perspective. I enjoy stories that are very emotionally intense, whether that means they are spilling over with ~feels~ or dark and unrelenting in tone – I enjoy horror, especially psychological horror, but also feel-good fluff and total cracky silliness. I am into both Crueltide and Yuleporn, so if those are your jam, please have at! I'm also open to other sub-challenges, if my requests fit the bill and you're inspired :) I am up for IF and other format shenanigans, including poetry, as well
[note: this year this is really only relevant to one request but I'm leaving it anyway.] I like porn, but I do not require it. If you have a preference for or against in whatever you wind up writing, knock yourself out, I will appreciate it. If you include porn, I prefer it to be somehow relevant to the story – either it develops character relationships, or is vital to some zany caper or what have you. I’m not a big fan of pwp, though I think porn can certainly *be* the main action, so to speak, as long as it is showing me something new about characters or their relationship. I'm really hard to squick, so don't be afraid to show me your kinks! More than anything, when it comes (heh) to porn I want to be able to believe that the sex I'm reading is in character for whoever I'm reading about – not necessarily that it is something they want, but that the reactions I'm reading are true to whoever is having them, if that makes any sense.

DNW: Bears PWP, or bears... bestiality? Like, either everyone involved in sex is an actual bear, or no one is, please!
I have been a casual cam watcher for years but like many, really got into it this year. I have been watching since mid July and follow the chat as well. If you are someone who was drawn in by Fat Bear Week, no worries, I'm pretty chill to write for and I will not be mad if you, like, decide 747 and 856 are bestest friends or something. Bring on the Bear AUs!
High school AU! Maybe 812 is the youngest on the sportsball team and is trying to balance that with his friendships with friends that didn't make the cut (821) or are social misfits (610)?
Coffee shop AU? Maybe Grazer is the cranky overworked manager who is SUPER protective of her employees?
College AU? Everybear wants to be in Professor Otis's class because he is So Chill, but it turns out that patience is harder than it sounds?
Chopped AU? Who are the judges? Who are the contestants? What is in the basket!?! Is it... seagull? :V
What if Fat Bear week but it is actually about like.... Gay Bears? Are Holly and Grazer just, like, super Butch? I dunno, man you tell me :D
What about Bears... in Space! Or Chunk's Noire Detective Adventure looking in to what REALLY happened to Beadnose the Grand Old Dame of Katmai?
If AUS aren't your thing that fine! I am happy for any kind of bears story! Tell me something we didn't see on cam, write me a cute courting fic, or a 5 times fic about Walker getting Grazered.
I didn't nom anyone specific because I do love them all and would be happy to see any of them in a fic, but if you are curious my top faves are Grazer, 812, 821, and Otis :3 Please also feel free to bring in other non-nominated bears!

ETA: CRIPES it is like...Nov 30 and I JUST realized I nominated the wrong person so uh... presumably anyone who matched on this must be rolling with it since I haven't heard anything from the mods but, uh, its Young-Ja who I meant, and I am a fool.
I absolutely *LOVED* the Korean War episode, and Ji-Ah, so much! I was really fascinated by her friendship withChun-jaYoung-Ja. I definitely thought there could be more to it, and would be happy to read about that, but am also down to just read about their friendship and Ji-an learning how to People. Did she ever tell Chun-Ja the truth? What did she think about Ji-Ah's comments about her mother expecting her to bring home men? What else did she learn, other than *how* to have friends? And how did that happen? Was Chun-JaYoung-Ja friends with Ji-Ah before she was replaced by a Kumiho? Did they meet in nursing school? show me anything about these two and I will be delighted :)

Yes, I'm a sadist. Tell me about this evil stitch, the curses it has elicited and suffered, how scared the other stitches are of it, how intimidating it is. Is it lonely? Does it know it is the boss bitch of its cousins, k2tog and ssk? Or maybe its just misunderstood? Its true that no one else can quite do its job.... or can they? Will a simple k3tog not do? Maybe we're into the mirrorverse here (or is that just reverse stockinette?) Anyway, I am totally here for knitting related hijinks. Show me your worst(ed)!
