Alphabet Meme

I'm stealing this from velvetmouse because I would like some little scraps of writing I can do!

So here's how we're going to play this: I write out the alphabet below. You give me a word for an unclaimed letter, a fandom and characters. I write either a single (100 words) or a double (200 words) drabble. Rejoicing happens.

As for fandoms, I'm willing to push myself a bit so feel free to ask for things that aren't on the list and if I don't know them at all, I'll let you know :3 feel free to ask for OCs and world building stuff, because I love that shit and its a fun challenge to do it with drabbles.

It was an honour to be invited in such a respected position. The feast had been a real treat, and she’d especially enjoyed the lemon ice served between the fourth and fifth removes.

Now it was time for the dancing, and the expectant parents smiled toothily up at her. She clapped her hands in delight as the music began to play and opened her arms to her partner for the first public dance that signalled the passage into adulthood.

The yeti sported the traditional tiara, of course, but one never really knew what was going on under all that fur.

Arthur left it to Gawain to arrange the really fun 'training' exercises. This time he'd set up a chance to get away from Camelot and engage in some proper Knightly bonding. Or bondage, rather. Merlin had picked the spot - something about old Druid ceremonies or some other Gaius-chatter he'd tuned out. With Arthur's cock up his ass, he had better things to think about. They had him trussed up across a fallen stone, Percival thrusting down his throat, Elyan and Leon waiting impatiently for their turns. They were Knights of the Round Table - everyone would get their chance.

Eyebrow? Lip? Tzesira had definitely discounted her nose, but was still settling on exactly where she would get her new piercing. Definitely somewhere visible, or there would hardly be much point, really. It was a shame she hadn't been able to get a matched set, but it would make a good enough story on its own.

On the sewer-rout earlier that morning, she'd eventually tired of the others' attempts to make nice. She'd glowered menacingly at their captive. "Tell us where to find your fucking friends, dead thing, or I'll tear out your fucking fangs and wear them as jewellery."

It was inevitable that Spock be called to serve in such a position. Kirk might have termed it a hazard of occupation, but they both knew that only in exceptional circumstances would he ever be called to sit on such a tribunal. As a Vulcan, Spock was considered more impartial than his former captain, and his logical consideration of facts thought to make him impervious to emotional manipulation.

The young captain had broken the rules and would be court-martialed, yet he could not find it in him to think what she had done for the Yzrian refugees was wrong.

There were many aspects of fatherhood that Sanadhil found overwhelming, and it didn’t help that the expectations were so conflicting. When someone told him of new mischief that his oldest sons had gotten in to, should he be pleased or upset? It also didn’t help that their interests and schemes were so far outside the range of his own childhood experiences. In this particular case the lesson to be learned seemed fairly clear to him - it was no good to enact an elaborate plan if it could be too easily traced back to you. They should know better.

Macen was typically a sweet-tempered boy, but teething turned him in to a wailing monster. Nothing settled him at all, and his discomfort and sore mouth meant that feeding him was a challenge. Especially when he was careless about the few teeth he’d already cut. Marys had resigned herself to another restless night when the door opened quietly behind her.

Whatever else she might think of her employer, Lord Vedran was a devoted father in his way, and had a magic touch when it came to calming his son’s crying fits. Resigned, she handed Macen over without a word.

Thing was, no matter what she said, he was bound not to want to hear it. But it all would have all worked out okay if just they'd had better parts on Triumph, or if that last fix had held out 'til they hit Silverhold.

"Kaylee," Mal scowled, "Why'd you have to go and break my ship?"

"She ain't broke, Capn'!" She smiled hopefully. "She jus' needs a little love to see her through."

"Love?" He didn't sound particularly convinced, or impressed.

"Okay, and maybe a new resistor array…"

The guards looked at the corpse, and then to Colon. He cleared his throat, feeling a little hot under the chainmail.

"Well, it seems clear to me that-"

"Holy sausages!" It was Nipkin, one of the new recruits, pointing at a suspiciously shaped...item lying in the shadows a few feet away. "Is that his....holy sausage?"
Guard work certainly could be unsettling, but Nobby saved him the distress - or *some* distress - by sidling over and picking it up. And taking a large bite out of it.

"'S a zucchini, Sarge. A Sto-Hilt Select."

Colon smiled grimly. "The courgette cudgeller strikes again!"

"Oh yes!" He climbed in to his cousin's lap, working open his shirt. "You know I am very happy with Harry, but I do miss you terribly."

"Fortunate that you have business that brings you so regularly to the city," he retorted as they broke up a passionate kiss.

Adolphus smiled, running his hand down over the hardening bulge in Gideon's pantaloons. "Most pressing business, indeed!"

Ivy's skillset gave her an unexpected advantage in dealing with naughty children. Sometime, there was something about their innocent terror that gave her the thrill she needed to go on.
This little boy had tried to be brave. He though he had an ally. He heard the Monster in his room, and set his little jaw. "I'm not afraid! I have Mr. Bear, and he's going to eat you!"
Only this time when he reached for his guardian, something was wrong. The stuffed bear shouldn't have felt so wet and heavy, and he shouldn't have had all those teeth...

Batiatus was entertaining, and had ordered him cleaned and sent up to the villa with a number of other gladiators. The guests would be from the cream of Roman society and with only the most refined tastes for depravities.

He adjusted the wrap of his loincloth, repressing a scowl at the thought of all he was enduring for his revenge. Doctore called out to hasten the other stragglers, his face a mask.

"Tell me, Doctore," he asked, hinting a smile, "Do you think I could do your job? Someday I might like to wear pants again."

The big man laughed.

Beryl caught her friend’s roaming hand and gave it a squeeze as she leaned back against the taller woman. “Oh Alia…. Once again you are waaay drunker than me.”

“I know!” She leaned in closer, whispering loudly into the dwarf’s ear so she could be heard over Brenn and Vedran’s inebriated recital of Nerathi drinking songs. “You have more wine an’ we’ll be in for some fun, hmmm?”

She sighed. “I told you – that’s all over now.”

Unexpectedly, Alia embraced her in a tight hug. “Just don’t you leave me behind, Beryl!”

Beryl hugged her back. “Don’t worry, I won’t.”

Pietros didn't know why Barca kept the pigeons. His affection for them seemed... distant at best. When he'd asked if he'd named them, Barca had needed a moment to think before answering. The gladiator wasn't one given to sentiment so Pietros knew was a story there, but it was Barca's not his. He didn't want to pry - didn't want to risk losing what he'd found - so instead he decided he would care for them too. To make them part of *their* story. He didn't want Barca living in the past - he wanted him in the now, with him.

Lestrade was not a terrible detective. But he wasn't a particularly good one, either. His sort of semi-competence could be dangerous, even fatal, to an effective investigation. He had no eye for the obvious, and no concept of how to relate the simplest of facts. His worst crime against the profession was that he seemed to find it all rather *boring*. Granted, a case needed to be particularly engaging to attract his own attention, but the Inspector cared more for resolution than truth. It was, Sherlock reasoned, truly criminal to let such a man remain ignorant of his many defects.

Jacinthe told him over dinner about the charity she was organizing, a defiant look in her eye. But he was certainly not about to challenge her. "Of course, I'm sure it will be appreciated."

"When Miss Kallista told me about her project, I realized I still had more to offer than my efforts immediately following the disaster."

Vedran nodded, then paused. "Kallista? Kallista Sinsinger?" She'd never mentioned the Tiefling before, but it did make sense.

"Yes," was the only answer she gave, backed by a stern look that dissuaded him from prying any further, or mentioning their common connection.

When it came to fucking, Tzesira thought she'd figured out a good balance between dealing with her friend's difficult past and having a good time. But tonight things were getting a little awkward again and she wasn't really sure what she could do without making Kay either sad or pissed off.

The thing was, tonight they'd gotten a little drunk before winding up back at the barracks. They'd had their fun... And then Kallista had curled up around her and promptly fallen asleep. Patience wearing, she tried again to untangle the Tiefling's tail from her legs without waking her up.

Ruchard knew that his control of dreams was still much greater and more refined than Imraen's. Even so, she pushed him beyond the complacency he'd sunk into since he'd built his little world. He understood the fluidity of dreams, but her creativity and imagination inspired his own.

He had to be quick to keep up with her. Something in their contests made him remember a scrap of an old song - she became a star, he became a thundercloud... She was in the garden now, resting deceptively peaceably. He smiled to himself, thinking on the song's theme. "Bide, lady, bide..."

Arthur didn't know what Ariadne had seen, but it was clear that it still haunted her. When the rest of the team dispersed, it had been harder for him to let her go. She seemed to return his affection, but it took a while to get close enough to recognize her lingering troubles.

"I can't trust my dreams," she'd finally confessed. "Because of Limbo. I can't trust my totem. I'm afraid of getting trapped. Like Mal. Like Dom."

"Let me build you somewhere safe," he offered, thinking of clean modern lines. But she shook her head.

"That's how it starts."

His father had been working for a very long time. This wasn't unusual, but things were different these days. He didn't like to rest, but when he did lie down he did so for longer than he ever had before, and often didn't get up until Roscoe prodded him. The resting seemed to help him function better.

His father took a sip of the tea Roscoe had set beside him, spitting it out instantly.

"No, Roscoe, that's salt, not sugar!" He got slowly out of his chair. "You should know better."

Roscoe did, but hoped he might go lie down.
