Three characters sit down together.
Show (don't tell!) by the things they say to one another that one is a control freak, one a liar, and one a narcissist.
So I figured the Pieces crew fit that well enough, and they've been on my mind, so here you are!

I don't really like this title, but it will do. This is mostly a one off about Victor. I wrote it all in one sitting sometime last yea, and it's taken me a while to make the time to transcribe and tidy it. So credit august_writing again, I suppose!

What is Pieces? (Summary up to Part Twenty Five)
Pieces is, as the index says, the Story of Daniel Graves, an ex-agent of the Technocratic Union, returned to earth after a long series of off-world adventures, trying to put his life together. Emotionaly and socially crippled from the extensive brainwashing he received from his former employer, he is trying to find a place (or make) for himself in this world by reaching out to the family he abandoned unwillingly some years before his disappearance from this realm. This is complicated by the fact that his wife's family (and her new lover) are lycanthropes - a fact known previously to the technocracy, but not (at least not consciously) to him.

Pieces Part twenty Five
I actually wrote this last summer, but I always thought that I would expand it (it is quite short). In the end I decided to leave it as is so I could pick up with a new bit. Which is now written and should be posted later today. I may post a quick summary of what all has happened so far, since I know that it has been a while since anyone has looked at this stuff...

I am going to *try* to keep up my weekly posing schedule over the summer, but I'm not going to have regular access to a computer, so I can't make any promises. We'll see what I can do! I also still intend to finish Ice soonishly...

Well, I wasn't sure I'd make it there for a bit! In any case, here you are! This sort of took off on me, but it will lead to interesting places, I think. Comments welcome, as always. Please let me know if it works, and makes any kind of sense, and if it is confusing if it is *too* confusing... Part of the problem of a purely first person narrative is getting thiem to explain thngs, especially when they don't always know. Anyway. I'm tired :V

Well, here we go! I hope that the sparring scenes in this are both realistic and clear - pelase let me know if there are any problems! I was hoping to get through more in this section, but it is already long (1996 words - total 32490), and I figure that itbends in a place that will allow me to pick up easily in the next bit, and I can finish up what I was hoping would take two sections in three. In any case, here we go! And I hope that I can get another bit out this week at the 'regular' time, and remain on top of things from here on out. Yay!

A Pieces Character List
I am working on a new installment, so I doubt I'll fall any further behind. And someday, I may catch up. This is hard, as at the moment my brain is mostly full of more ideas for Ice, possibly encouraged by the fact that this is a story that actually has an end in sight, oh-ho! In any case, this is a list of characters who are significant in at least some minor way to the story. Hopefully I will remember to add to it as time goes by :) Obviously some of these people are more important than others. Those with only minor roles are marked as such. Of course, there are important people who are yet to be named...

Ahh, don't give up on me yet! I am still one Piece behind, but I'll make things up in the next week or so, I hope. And then maybe I can even go back to a regular update schedule 9although I'll not I never actually promised such a thing - it just seemed to happen that way ;) In any case, I at least have an idea of a few things to write for the next installments, which is a boon. If anyone is curious, my word count for this sucker is up to 28781, page count is 58. Yup - longer than the thesis. Average installment length is just over 1500 words, which pleases me as that is just where I want it. I hope I can keep it up! In any case, I hope my readers enjoy this section. Comments, questions, criticisms, etc, always welcome :)

@_@ Notice the hour? Well. I get easily distracted. I hope to catch up at lest one more piece by the end of the week. I admit I spent waaaaay too much time looking at shiny sports cars for this section. "Red makes things go faster!" I have yet to decide what kind of car Daniel is driving, however, and am fastidiously avoiding describing it until I do. Anyway, I hope my readers find this enjoyable. Expect some more drabbles in the next few days :)
