The daily writing challenge over at
august_writing today was to use your music player of choice to select a song, and use its title for the first line of your story. I came up with "Shake your Coconuts" by junior senior, and I couldn't really resist. Whee! I need sleep ;_;
Shake’em!
“Shake your coconuts! Shake’ em, baby! Yeah, just like that, wooh!”
Frat boys. They never got it. Emma was regretting taking this gig – she but she did need the money, even if the audience was never going to see her as anything other than a half-assed stripper. She’d been really clear with the organizers about exactly what sort of dancing she did, but apparently cheap beer was like unto the waters of the river Lethe.
“Take if off, sexy! Free the twins!”
That was it. These assholes just weren’t worth her effort. No more shoulder shimmies, that was for sure!
